I'm Pahul and I am a 3rd year student at UBC. I work under social media for a mental health start-up. In my free time I enjoy writing. I am really excited for this internship and am looking forward to meet experts and fellow interns at Lawyer-ed!
My name is Kaylie Walker, I'm originally from Houston Texas but I currently attend the University Of British Columbia- Okanagan. I am going into my 3rd year as a Political Science Major, hoping to work in any avenue of Law and Public Relations. I love warm weather and the summertime, so I can't think of a better way to enjoy time away from the classroom than meeting new people and gaining practical experience.
I am Mohamad-Najib Jalloul, I am a current student at Concordia University and I hold a diploma in Computer Science. I am very detail oriented and I am not afraid to speak my mind.
I'm Tife! I have just completed my British GCSEs in June 2024. I have in the course of my studies received a number of internal and external awards, notable among which are The Young Financial Journalists Award (sponsored by the London Institute of Banking and Finance & Finacial Times), and The Isard Prize for English (School Alumni Award- Two time winner). Excluding academics, I have a wide breadth of interests including theatre, art, reading and dancing.
I recently received my Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, where I double majored in psychology and criminology. I developed a keen interest in learning about the nuances of the law and human behavior there. My professional journey includes valuable experiences such as working as a Sales Associate at Hudson’s Bay where I developed a deep appreciation for the role the position plays on interpersonal skills. I also had the privilege of working with the Ontario Government.
My name is Jayden Leung and I am a university student who is doing a dual degree in economics and political science at the University of Ottawa. I have been passionate about these particular subjects, among other social sciences, since I was a child. Consequently, I am in the process of figuring out which specific career path I will pursue, although generally speaking, careers in the fields of finance, law, management, research, and policy interest me the most.
My name is Binta. I am 18 years old and currently a student in Montreal. I have a strong passion for anything related to the finance industry and the economy in general. A fun fact about me is that I speak 4 languages and I am currently learning 2 more. Besides finance and languages, another passion of mine is cooking. I love cooking as much as I love eating!
I’m currently a college student at Vanier College with a passion for learning and growth. I’m actively involved in Model United Nations as a delegate, where I enjoy debating global issues and improving my diplomatic skills. Alongside my studies, I am working as a salesperson at Maison Quartzforms. I’ve also gained valuable experience as a client advisor at RBC, where I developed my skills in sales, research, and analytics.
My name is Jessamine Li and I am an incoming second year student at the University of Western Ontario. I am interested in the intersection of fields in industries of tech, business, and law. I am looking forward to a rewarding and hard working internship journey with Lawyer-ed and look forward to meeting many bright minded individuals.
My name is Ron and I am a third-year political science and business student at the University of Victoria. I’m thrilled to be joining the Lawyer-ed team as a summer intern. Through my previous experience in the running of a small business, I have recognised the importance of innovation in supporting the growth and success of a business. Furthermore, I developed an interest in the legal dimensions of business operations and real estate; inspiring my aspirations to practice estate law.
As a business student, my initial interest in law began when I asked, 'Why is Lady Justice blindfolded?' This sparked my passion for the intersection of business and law. When I'm not buried in a book, you'll find me exploring different cuisines or watching Suits (my favourite legal drama!)
My name is Clara Smyrski and I am from New Hampshire, USA. I will be starting my third year at McGill University in the fall, where I play varsity field hockey and am studying Sustainability, Science, & Society - which focuses on environmental policy aiming to combat the climate crisis - and minoring in Mathematics, both with the hopes to go to Law school. I am thrilled to be participating in the Summer Program at Lawyer-ed and look forward to working with you!
my name is Carissima, but I also go by Crissy! I was born and raised in Calgary, and in September, I’ll be going into my second year of the Co-op Biochemistry program at the University of Waterloo. In my free time, I enjoy reading, drawing, hanging out with my two cats, and going to the gym! I’m really looking forward to meeting all of you, and collaborating on projects together :)
